Welcome to “Foundation for Innovations in Health” (FIH), a not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to mitigate Multi-Dimensional Poverty (MDP) and build rural resilience, through twin interventions in employment-oriented education and data-driven, evidence-based primary healthcare.
FIH leverages democratisation of frugal innovations in healthtech to achieve its objectives; and has formed multiple collaborations with leading Science & Technology institutions in India and abroad, including IIT Kharagpur and IIT Guwahati.
Founded in 2013 by Prof. (Dr.) Satadal Saha MS, FRCS (Eng.) & his colleagues, FIH is mentored by Prof. Amitabha Ghosh, Emeritus Scientist, Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi & Former Director, IIT Kharagpur. It is governed by eminent personalities from a wide range of expertise; and operated by domain experts in science, education, technology and their societal interfaces; the guiding and shared philosophy being “Health for a Billion”.
